In a few words

Located on the south shore of Québec City, 30 minutes from Lévis and Montmagny, Saint-Raphaël was founded in 1851 by settlers of Acadian descent. This municipality of the costal plain of Bellechasse, accessed by Route 281, is noted for its picturesque landscapes and the evocative nicknames of some of its country roads - “Vide-Poche” (Emptier of Pockets) and “Brise-Culotte” (Breaker of Pants) or “Écureuils” (Squirrels) and “Pouvoir” (Power). The Rivière du Sud is a major feature in this peaceful environment. A hydro-electric station, dating back to 1921, is still operational. At the “Rocher Blanc” (White Rock), you can enjoy hiking trails, picnic areas, lookout points and foot bridges. It is also the departure point for “Le Grand Sault”, a 25-km bike path, complete with signs, that takes you along the most beautiful natural and historical attractions of Saint-Raphaël.
